More than 450 managers representing cosmetic companies, trade and services took part in the 6th Cosmetic Business Forum which was held on 2 October in Warsaw. The Forum has become a fixture in the calendar of the most important business meetings dedicated to the cosmetics market. The only fully professional meeting whose most important goal is to connect partners operating in the cosmetic business. The Forum is organised by the publisher of “Wiadomości Kosmetyczne” – leading magazine on the B2B press market dedicated to cosmetic market.

The unique format of the Cosmetics Business Forum, which consists of lectures, panel discussions, individual business meetings and the top product fairs, works perfectly and results in the dynamic development of the project. This year, over 450 people associated with the cosmetic business from Poland and abroad took part in the event. For the first time, the Forum programme was created in cooperation with the Polish Union of the Cosmetic Industry – an organisation associating over 170 companies of the cosmetic industry and working for its development. The patron of the event was also the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) responsible for the government's project to promote Polish cosmetics brands on foreign markets.

The conference is becoming more and more popular not only among producers, but also among managers representing retail chains. The 6th Cosmetics Business Forum was attended by representatives of the leading drugstore, perfumery, pharmacy chains, duty free shops, discount chains, super- and hypermarkets, and even fuel stations operating in Poland. The representatives of online perfumeries and drugstores such as Perfumesco or were also present, as well as wholesalers and distribution companies, among others: Błysk, Davi, Grupa Delko, Grupa Południe, Navo Orbico, PGD Polska, Sonia, An-Mar, Mini-Max Agencja Promocyjno-Handlowa, Temido Dystrybutor Kosmetyków.

The Cosmetics Business Forum is becoming more and more international. Polish producers had the opportunity to establish contacts with managers representing Alibaba Group who introduce European brands to this largest e-commerce platform operating in China. The representatives of Fozzy Group also came to Warsaw. Fozzy Group is one of the largest Ukrainian retailers, developing, among others, a chain of drugstores connected to pharmacies and hyper- and supermarkets who were looking for suppliers of cosmetics, personal care products and household chemicals in Poland.

Nearly 50 companies accepted the title of Partner of the 6th Cosmetics Business Forum and presented their brands and products at stands which were visited by managers managing retail chains and responsible for product range orders. Conversations between suppliers and trade took place during arranged, individual meetings, and were also continued at the brand stands. The strategic partners of the 6h Cosmetic Business Forum were companies Bech Packaging and ZenCard. The programme partner was consulting firm PwC. Lectures in the conference part of the Cosmetic Business Forum were delivered by experts specialising in their respective fields. “How to communicate and build brand among the connect generation – always-on connection?”, “Trends in the cosmetic market. Which buying trends and customs of consumers will shape the future of the market?” – these are the examples of speeches prepared by consulting firms PwC and Nielsen. All presentations delivered during the Forum were prepared specifically for the needs of this event. The main theme of the conference was the relationships between the consumer-producer-distributor-trade resulting from the changing trends and the development of e-commerce. “The whole truth about cosmetics – joint responsibility of industry, trade and influencers for consumer choices”, “Challenges for producers, distributors and trade in the cosmetics sector in the era of technological revolution and changing consumer expectations” – these are the subjects of debates which were widely discussed by the participants of the meeting.
